Practical AI Workshop
The workshop runs in 4 formats, each on the team's own recurring tasks.
Formats and duration
| Format | Duration | Suits | What people leave with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive briefing | 60 to 90 minutes | An executive team or board that needs a shared view before it sets direction | A common understanding of what AI can and cannot do in your business, and the decisions it raises for the team |
| Half-day workshop | Half a day | One team that shares recurring tasks | Hands-on practice on the team's own tasks, and a written method for each task covered |
| Full-day workshop | 1 day | A team or function with several kinds of work, or work that needs closer checking | Practice across more tasks, written methods and agreed checking rules for sensitive or consequential work |
| Multi-week program | 4 weeks, 1 session a week | A team that needs the new practice to hold through a full work cycle | Methods applied to live work between sessions, with each session reviewing what was used and what changed |
- Who it is for
- Executive teams, departments and functional teams that have AI tools but use them unevenly.
- The work people bring
- Each person brings a recurring task from their role, and the group agrees what a good result looks like for each one.
- What they practise
- Most of the time in the room goes to the brief and the checks, because they control the quality of the result.
- What they leave with
- Each person leaves with a written method for each task covered. Each method records the task, the brief that worked, the context to supply, the checks to run and who approves the result.
- After the workshop
- The manager follows up on use. An optional review session a few weeks after the workshop checks which practices are in use and adjusts the rest.
- Tools covered
- The workshop covers Microsoft Copilot (formerly Microsoft 365 Copilot), ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and uses the one your organisation has approved.
- How the fee is set
- We quote the fee for each workshop. Four things set it: the format, the number of people, whether the sessions run on site and the preparation needed. You receive the fee in writing before you commit.
Executive AI Coaching
Executive AI Coaching is for executives who want to use AI in their own work and lead their teams in using it. It suits one executive, or executives who want to go further after a workshop. Each executive works on their own papers, decisions and stakeholder updates.
- Length
- An 8-week engagement for up to 6 executives.
- Sessions
- Each executive has one-to-one sessions on their own work. The group meets at the start and at the end.
- How often
- Sessions run weekly for about an hour.
Who does the work
Ramon Rodriguez leads the advisory work. Applied AI Australia advises and Acquire Intelligence™ delivers, as one engagement from diagnosis to working change.
Frequently asked questions
Where should we start?
Start with the people whose work has to change first. If your executives have not used AI on their own work, start with them, through an executive briefing or Executive AI Coaching. If your leaders already use it and a team does not, start with a Practical AI Workshop for that team.
What is the difference between the workshop and coaching?
The Practical AI Workshop builds shared practice across a team on tasks its members have in common. Executive AI Coaching works on each executive's own papers, decisions and stakeholders.
Do we need an approved AI tool first?
You can start without one. The work can run on the tool you intend to approve, with material that holds no confidential content. Where the choice of tool is the main question, the AI Roadmap covers it.
Tell us whose work has to change first and which tools you have approved. We will recommend a format and a next step.
